Adelaide Benneh Prempeh is the Founder and Managing Partner of B & P Associates, a Corporate and Commercial legal practice and consultancy firm in Ghana. Her focus practice areas include Investment Advisory, Energy and Natural Resources, Construction and Infrastructure, Project Finance & Development, Commercial Transactions, Private Equity, Employment and Labour, Corporate Governance and Compliance, Restructuring & Insolvency. Adelaide was called to the Bar of England & Wales in 2001. She began her legal career with the international law firm Lovells (now Hogan Lovells) in London where she worked on high profile product liability cases and various contentious matters regarding regulatory compliance. With a background in litigation, Adelaide joined Renaissance Chambers in London as a practicing Barrister, where she was regularly instructed to appear at all levels of Court in a variety of cases from 2003 until 2012. Adelaide was called to the Ghana Bar as a Barrister and a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana. She is a Legal Consultant to the International Finance Corporation (IFC), World Bank Group on Ghana’s Investment Climate Advisory Project; a licensed Insolvency Practitioner and an Advocacy and legal Ethics Lecturer at the Ghana School of Law. Adelaide is a member of the Bar of England & Wales; Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn London; Ghana Bar Association; International Bar Association; Elected Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL) and INSOL International; Association of Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Professionals.
