Dr (Mrs) Jemima Nunoo (nee Agyare) is an award winning executive and lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). She headed the Centre for Management Development (CMD), the Executive Education and training wing of the GIMPA Business School.  Dr Nunoo teaches Leadership (at the undergraduate and executive levels), Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility, Business Management and Administration at the Business School and has taught Politics, International Relations and Ethical Leadership at the School of Public Service and Governance.  With regards to teaching, she has over 17 years of experience teaching at the Tertiary level.  She has facilitated on programmes for various organisations including: Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, Databank and DANIDA.

Dr Nunoo holds a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Birmingham, UK, an MA in International Studies and Diplomacy from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, a Research Track MA from the University of Nottingham, UK and a PhD from the same institution.  The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) of the UK awarded Dr Nunoo a PhD and research track MA scholarship.  Her doctoral research investigated the politics and governance of genetically modified (GM) agriculture in Africa.  Dr Nunoo has written on GM agriculture in Africa, transparency and accountability issues within the oil and gas sector in Ghana and small-scale agriculture in Africa.

Previously Dr Nunoo was the Speechwriter and Principal Researcher for H. E. John Agyekum Kufuor, former President of the Republic of Ghana.  She was instrumental in the establishment and launching of the John A. Kufuor Foundation for Governance and Leadership.  Prior to this, she was a Research Fellow at the Institute for Democratic Governance.  She headed the Poverty, Inequality and Sustainable Development Programme. She has also taught Power and Leadership, Qualitative Research Methods and Approaches to Political Studies at the School of Politics and International Relations at the University of Nottingham, UK.

Dr Nunoo won the awards for Outstanding Female Executive of the Year and Best Achiever in CSR at the 2019 Feminine Ghana Awards.  She is the Board Chair of the Africa Centre for Energy Policy (ACEP), an Energy Research organisation and Think Tank and a government-appointed board member of the Petroleum Commission, Ghana.

Nana Appia is the Commercial and New Ventures Director of Kosmos Energy Ghana. Prior to joining Kosmos, he was the Director of Exploration, Appraisal and Field Development of Tullow Ghana Limited and led the appraisal, development and production of the Jubilee and TEN Oil Fields. He was a member of Tullow Plc’s Global Exploration Leadership Team, having previously held the roles of Exploration Manager and Subsurface Manager of Tullow’s flagship Jubilee Oil Field. With geophysics as background, Appia has held technical and leadership roles of progressive seniority in Africa and the UK North Sea in Exploration, Appraisal and Field Development with
Phillips Petroleum Corporation Europe & Africa, the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation, Atlantic Richfield Corporation (Arco), BP and Tullow Oil.
Appia is currently a non-executive Director of the Bui Power Authority, a former Executive Director of Ghana National Petroleum Corporation and a former member of the Governing Board of the West Africa Gas Pipeline Authority. He graduated from Camborne School of Mines, Cornwall, UK with BSc (Hon) in Mining Engineering and holds an MSc in Applied Geophysics from University of Birmingham, UK as well as an MBA from the City University Business School, London, UK.

Philip Amoah is an accomplished, results-oriented, and technically trained engineering background professional with 15 years of progressive experience in Business Management, Project controls and management, Risks and assurance management, finance, contracts/contractor management within Power, Construction and Extractive industries. Proven record of success in preparing strategy and long-term planning, leading high performing teams to exceed objectives, and managing organizational transformation programs. Analytical planner adept at identifying and isolating business and project challenges, as well as devising solutions to resolutely mitigate issues. Articulate communicator, able to transform strategic ideas into reality through close communication with management team, stakeholders, and executives.

Philip has a broad international experience having worked in various phase of project and operational environments in West Africa, USA, UK, ASIA, and Europe. Philip had experiences with Total Energies E&P (USA), Tullow Ghana Ltd across various locations, Skanska UK Plc and KONE UK Plc.

Philip holds a Master of Science degree (MSc) in Project Management from the University of Reading, UK, a post-graduate Diploma in Advanced Management from the China Europe International Business School and a Bachelor (BSc.) degree in Electrical and electronics Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Kumasi, Ghana. Philip also has an award in Leadership from canfield University School of Management, UK having successfully completed a 2-year international Leadership programme at the institution

With 12 years Global experience in the oil and gas industry, he is currently the Commercial Manager in charge of Economic Modeling, Risk Management and Planning at Ghana National Gas Company. He is also an Adjunct Lecturer at Ghana Technology University College (on Coventry Oil and Gas programs), and a Visiting Lecturer at University of Cape Coast. He is also the Program Chair of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Ghana Section, even as he continues to serve as an Advisory Committee Member of SPE Africa. He also sits on the Technical Committee for World Petroleum Council, Ghana Chambers.

He is an experienced Oil and Gas Business Analyst with solid technical and commercial knowledge in oil and gas field development planning and portfolio management. He is heavily involved in the day-to-day interpretation of value creation potential for oil and gas businesses. His strengths include being diligent, innovative and technology driven.

Riverson holds Ph.D. in International Oil and Gas Management – Economics, from Gubkin Russian University of Oil and Gas; Diploma in Earth GeoScience from Stanford University, USA; Masters (with honors) in Petroleum Engineering from Gubkin Russian University of Oil and Gas, with Masters Exchange Program in Arctic Development from Norwegian University of Nordland; a Bachelors degree in Materials (Industrial) Science and Engineering from K.N.U.S.T., Ghana; Diploma in Project Management from Institute of Commercial Management, UK.

He has lectured in several universities across Europe, Canada, and Australia, and has been a conference panelist on numerous Conferences across the globe in the past seven years. His immense contribution to international conferences cannot be overlooked as he has made presentations under very several influential conferences, globally. In his appearance at Petroleum Commissions’ Local Content Conference in 2018 as a speaker, Dr. Oppong spoke on the theme “Local Content Impact on Ghana’s Oil and Gas Economy”.

It is worth mentioning that Dr. Oppong has won several international awards, medals and recognitions; the most recent award being the 2020 SPE International Regional Young Member Outstanding Service Award, and 2020 Presidential Millennium Excellence Award, Oil and Gas Category.

Dr. Oppong has published 23 articles, 4 of which addresses Local Content issues.
