Dr. Papa Benin is a senior management executive with 15+ years’ experience of Project Development & Implementation of Crude Oil Refineries with over 8 years of FPSO operations and engineering management practice. Dr. Benin possesses BSc and MSc Mechanical & Energy Engineering degrees from Sweden and a Ph.D. (U.S.A) in Applied Management and Decision Sciences with focus on Engineering Management. Since 2013, Dr. Benin has been working for MODEC Ghana. He was the Warranty Manager for Jubilee FPSO and further managed “Ready For First Oil” for TEN FPSO. Currently, Dr. Benin is the Localisation Manager for MODEC Ghana and responsible for Local Content strategy execution, Government Liaison, and Managing Localisation of FPSOs operations across all locations and departments. In addition, Dr. Benin is currently a Part-time Lecturer at Regional Maritime University lecturing Project Management, Research Design, and Technical Report Writing. He has previous work experience with ABB in Sweden for 2 years and with Tema Oil Refinery for 7 years.
Dr. Papa Benin is a certified and experienced HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) Leader for studies in oil and gas processing units and has expertise and demonstrable track record in localisation management of FPSO operations. He is currently supporting MODEC Senegal and MODEC Ivory Coast with their Localisation and Local Content programs.
Mr Rafeeq Amadu (Managing Partner, Ensol Engineering & Technology Services) A refined engineering management professional with over ten (10) years of experience in the oil & gas, subsea, asset integrity and offshore construction industry.He worked with multinationals, Technip and GE Oil & Gas in both Ghana & the UK. He is currently a Director & Managing Partner of Ensol Engineering & Technology Services Limited, an indigenous Ghanaian Company (IGC) that provides technology driven solutions to oil & gas assets across the entire energy and oil & gas value chain.
Michael is the Chief Executive Officer of Omni Energy Ltd – a member company of the Omni Group of Companies. He is a telecoms, oil, gas and chemicals expert with over 20 years in leadership roles across the sectors. Michael is a visionary and a result-oriented leader with a proven record of achievements in Marketing, Administration, and Information System Management. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc) in Petroleum Engineering and a Bachelor of Science Degree (Minor) in Marketing from Marietta College, Ohio, USA.
Michael has participated in several initiatives which have shaped the ICT space in Ghana, amongst which are serving in a technical capacity as a member of the Court of Governors, Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence, ICT Advisor to Telecom-Liberia and IT Advisor to the Inspector General of Police. He is also the founder of Mustek Engineering, Omnifert, Omni Speciality, Omni Diagnostics and Omni Cocoa Ltd.
Douglas Zormelo is an experienced management and development expert who has worked in both the private and public sectors and in academia. He has worked in the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Ghana, and the ECOWAS region. He has also worked with leading research and consultancy firms including the Overseas Development Institute, Price Waterhouse and KPMG and taught at the London School of Economics, University of Ghana and University of Denver.
He has consulted for various international organisations including the World Bank, the United Nations, the South African Development Community and the Economic Community of West African States. At ECOWAS he was, for eight years, the Project Director who developed course materials and coordinated the training of government officials including parliamentarians and Trade Ministers, the private sector, and social groups in Negotiations in the Multilateral Trading System.
He holds a PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science, an MA from the University of Salford and a BA (Hons) from the University of Ghana.
